As a jazz band from Vienna, we offer the perfect musical accompaniment for your evening. Our repertoire includes songs from various styles such as jazz, swing, Latin, soul, funk and pop, composed by international composers and from our own pen. We play for you in all line-up variations (instrumental in a trio or quartet , or with a singer in a quartet or quintet), require little space and bring along many years of stage experience - of course also our own sound system.
We are in great demand as a wedding band and are very happy to accompany gala evenings, boardroom parties, Christmas parties, birthday parties and corporate events in many different, beautiful venues.
With successful performances at the Hofburg, Palais Ferstel, Vienna City Hall, Palais Daun Kinsky, MAK, Kursalon Hübner, the Red House on Kahlenberg andSchönbrunn Palace, we have continued to refine our repertoire and offer you and your guests a musical journey that finds a harmonious finale in our versatile musical worlds, even away from wedding music and relaxed jazz.

The musicians
Deniz Malatyali
Vocals
Deniz was born in Bad Ischl and moved to Vienna at the age of 18. She graduated with a diploma in IGP Pop Vocal at the Vienna Conservatory with distinction, followed by a bachelor's degree in IGP Jazz & Popular Vocal at the Jam Music Lab University with distinction. Deniz works as a live and studio musician and has been a vocal and studio coach in Vienna and Berlin since 2016. She is the front woman of the hard rock band "Cil City" and has played at various festivals such as Nova Rock, Frequency, Donauinselfest and Full Metal Mountain.
Rupert Träxler
Guitar
By learning 3 instruments (piano, guitar, violin), it was clear that Rupert would probably pursue a career as a musician later in life. He graduated with distinction in jazz at the Gustav Mahler Conservatory with Edi Köhldorfer. A short time later he received his IGP diploma at the Vienna Conservatory - also with distinction. In addition to his teaching activities at the music schools in Wieselburg and Alpenvorland (Lower Austria), he works with numerous musicians, bands and projects.
Gernot Weninger
Bass
Gernot Weninger made his first musical experiences at the Realgymnasium, where he graduated with a major in classical guitar. At that time, he was already more interested in the bass and took his first bass lessons with Gary Wheeler - one of the most successful heavy metal musicians and singers of the time. After that, many years followed without any musical activities and he built up the image editing and litho studio "Blaupapier", which he still runs today. Only later did he make his musical passion - after intensive years of apprenticeship with Harald Regenfelder - his "second" profession. In 2009, Gernot Weninger founded the "Holy Moly Jazzband Deluxe" with Harald Regenfelder.
Rainer Lidauer
Drums
Rainer studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna IGP Drums & Percussion Popular Music with Manfred Krenmair and Prof. Fritz Ozmec and Classical Percussion with Prof. Kurt Prihoda and Prof. Oliver Madas (Magister degree with distinction). He has been teaching at the Franz-Schmidt Music School in Perchtoldsdorf since 2012 and taught at the Borg Krems for 5 years.
His musical credits range from jazz to heavy metal, currently playing in the bands Gravity, Jacobs Moor and Floyd Division in addition to the Holy Moly Jazzband Deluxe. He has also been working as a mix and mastering engineer in his own studio for several years. He is an endorser for Mapex drums, Aquarian drumheads, Vic Firth sticks, sE Electronics microphones and Skygel Damper pads.
Johannes van Dam
Piano
Johannes has been playing piano for 40 years and celebrated his 30th stage anniversary in 2021. He studied jazz piano and electronic keyboard instruments of popular music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Heribert Kohlich and graduated with distinction from both this study and the focus on classical piano. In addition to his extensive teaching activities at the music schools in Wieselburg and Donauklang (Lower Austria), Johannes van Dam is active as a freelance musician in the stylistic fields of jazz, gospel, pop/rock and hip hop.
